Symbolic capsule collection about the the sin of pride, the weight of guilt and the
journey of purification.
This capsule collection draws its inspiration from Superbia, the sin of pride. It recounts the
journey of purification undertaken by sinners within Dante’s Purgatory, taking cues from
medieval symbolism associated with the various facets of this cardinal vice. Evil is the catalyst for sin and it is represented by the snake. The eagle signifies elevation; the lion, pride; the peacock, provocation; and the mirror, vanitas, reflected solely in the eyes of the proud.

The collection is cathartic. It captures the sense of shame felt by the penitent in the presence of God, as well as the contrapasso (poetic justice), a punishment that forces them to bow their heads, having spent their lives with their gazes fixed upward.

The choice of fabrics was dictated directly by this medieval inspiration. The texture of a serpent’s skin is reimagined in a white devoreé velvet mini-jumpsuit, a motif echoed in the body paint applied to the model’s leg. Feathers, referencing the eagle, form a shoulder wrap that frames the model’s face, evoking the bird of prey itself. Other feathers are used to create a sensual accessory, reminiscent of the peacock, adorning a black organza gown, crafted using the draping technique. Meanwhile, a long skirt, fashioned to resemble a lion’s mane, serves as a testament to the inherent strength of women. The collection embodies "street couture." I tried to blend two sides of myself: the "street," boyish aesthetic and the more feminine, sensual, and sophisticated one. I believe this collection, brought to life through the accompanying photoshoot, successfully captures that vision. Set against a gritty, industrial backdrop, a stunning zoomorphic creature undergoes a journey of purification, ultimately triumphing over the evil represented by the vanquished snake.
